The Big Museum, Topkapi Palace
The Big Museum, Topkapi Palace, was built between 1466 and 1478 by the Ottoman Sultan Mehmet II. A place for visitors to get to know more insights of the lifestyle of the Sultans during the Ottoman Empire era. The Big Museum, Topkapi Palace Unfortunately, we missed out on taking photos of the front entrance of the palace, so the above photo shown above is the middle gate of salutation. By looking at the middle gate, it does felt like we are about to step into a castle. A closer look at the middle gate entrance before entering the courtyard. Whilst entering the gate, we were impressed by the beautifully crafted…

Our Long Anticipated Trip Of The Year!
Our long anticipated trip of the year to Turkey! Just look at the two pink bears checking in at a very familiar airport! For this trip, we engaged on a tour agency to show us around turkey as the package offered at that time was a steal considering all inclusive of return flight, accommodation, food and tour. The only non-inclusive will be the hot air balloon ride at Cappadocia. More on this in our future blogpost đ Some Random Shots At KLIA Airport In Flight It was our first time boarding the Turkish Airline, midnight flight with seating capacities filled. Once we settled ourselves, we try to get some needed…

How To Be A Lord For Half A Day?
How to be a lord for half a day? Eating scones at The Lord’s CafĂ©! Haha jokes aside, this cafĂ© will be our last scone hunting of the day as our Cameron Trip has come to an end. Be A Lord – The Lord’s CafĂ© As we thought going early to the cafĂ© will give us an advantage by not queuing, we were both awfully wrong about it. Upon reaching, the queue started picking up fast and getting longer! While queueing, there is a menu by the sidewalk for patrons to view while waiting for their turn to enter the cafĂ©. Unfortunately, due to the queue was long, we were…

Brunch With The Love, Le Scone Hunting
Brunch with the love, scone hunting, at “The Smokehouse”, again! đ€Ł Our main goal for the day is to try out one of the nicest scones available. So we decided to give “The Smokehouse” another go as we both love the romantic ambience during our candle light dinner the night before. Brunch With The Love – The Smokehouse The restaurant at that timing we went was filled with lunch crowds and we have to wait for a moment before manage to get into the restaurant. Though the seating area we wanted was to be by the window side which we did not get, we are very grateful that our wait…

Life Throws You a Cactus To Make You Stronger
Life, as fragile as it could be, may throw you a cactus from any point of your life to make you stronger. Though our initial plan was to visit the Mossy Forest, we found out that the road leading to Mossy Forest requires a 4×4 to continue the journey as the condition of the road is in a very bad shape. In the end, we decided to make a turn back as our car is not fit for this type of road condition. Upon some googling, visiting Mossy Forest will now require us to engage with the local tour guide as seen in the article from “The Rakyat Post –…

Light Up A Candle, Watch The Fire Burn Passionately
Light up a candle, watch the fire burn passionately. Enjoying our time together on our first ever candle light dinner at “The Smokehouse”. Though of course, we left our two pink bears to play around in the room at the chalet while we both enjoying our dating moment together đ The Smokehouse Luck is on our side as we made our dinner reservations to “The Smokehouse” at the very last minute as our plan is to follow the flow. Read more here: One Trip Not Enough Though last minute dinner reservations is not recommended, we were able to do it is due to the timing we went which was during…

Great To Be Young Again. Trip Down Memory Lane, The Time Tunnel Museum
The Time Tunnel Museum, the first memorabilia museum in Brinchang, brings you to a trip down memory lane, filled with artefacts and collectables. Making us feel great to be young again for the moment. The entrance fee is way too cheap to even justify the time we spent in there. We actually taking in everything slow, enjoying the moment, finding all the nooks and crannies of something we can relate to during our childhood and learn some history along the way. The Old School Classic At the entrance, we were greeted by a very well preserved old school Austin Morris with a valid roadtax sitting inside the museum (Yes, it…

Farewell Mulu. It’s been very amazing! And now, it’s time to wrap up Miri..
Farewell Mulu. Before parting ways, we decided to take one last stroll along the empty road in Mulu to visit the beautiful church near the national park. Of course, we will not miss the opportunity to bring both the bears out along with us! Our plan for the morning is to walk for approximately 2km to see the beautiful church near the national park. The Third Day.. Part Two of more Adventures in Mulu!
The third day, our main itinerary for the day is visiting the Wind Cave and the Clearwater Cave via the longboat through the Melinau river. As usual, we woke up slightly early to explore and do some touristy stuffs around the area. Stepping out of the hotel, we were greeted by friendly doggies hidden in a nearby local cafĂ©. All of them are so happy to see us and decided to follow us for a morning walk! While walking, one of the doggie takes the lead in front of us as if he’s trying to show us around some hidden areađ€Ł Unfortunately, we did not follow him and head back…
